The right answer – whatever you like!
Some people like to serve sparkling wine in a flute, which makes for elegant serving. Flutes focus the bubbles more, so you might get some tickling in your nose.
Others like to serve wine in a regular wine glass. The reason? With a wider bowl, you’ll be able to pick out all the aromas better than from a flute. And the trade-off? You won’t get quite as many bubbles.
So it really does come down to what the occasion is and what you feel like doing. There’s no right or wrong answer – pick a glass and enjoy!
And just a world on the Champagne coupe – probably best not to use it. It may be used for the right look and sometimes it’s used as nod to history (or even better, while watching an old black & white movie), but generally, a regular wine glass or a flute is a better choice.
